Grievance & Disciplinary Procedures
In the event that there is an issue with your employer or another employee you should in the first instance make enquiries as to whether your employer has a grievance procedure in place. If there is no procedure then the statutory procedure must be followed.
The grievance procedure is a method whereby parties can tend to resolve problems or at least provide a mechanism for an employee to draw their concerns to their employer.
Alternatively if you are subject to a disciplinary procedure with your employer, for example due to alleged misconduct or poor performance, it is important that your employer follows a fair procedure.
It is important to know your rights and obligations and we can also advise you in respect of ‘protected conversations’ with your employer.
