A fruit farmer claims he can’t pay a multi-million pound divorce settlement because of Brexit.
The farmer, from Kent, claims his fortune has been hammered by the UK leaving the EU and is currently fighting his ex-wife over her £12.2m payout.
Paul Mansfield, 56, was ordered to pay out to his former wife of 26 years, Jane, from a fortune worth about £30m.
Appealing the decision, Mansfield claimed the sum didn’t take the impact of Brexit on his premium fruit farming business into consideration.
