On Thursday 15th September we held our 6th Charity Golf Day at Test Valley Golf Club, supporting two amazing charities, Sebastian’s Action Trust and St Michael’s Hospice.
We were lucky with the weather, and the course was in great condition. This certainly meant that there was some great scoring. Just to give you an idea of the level of golf on show we had some individual totals of 42, 40 and a few 38 points which were fantastic.
The overall winning team was one of the Clarke & Son teams including Phil Dixon, David Thomas, Chris Taylor and Colin Evans with a great total of 98pts. The team dovetailed brilliantly with individual scores of 38, 35, 36 and 34pts. Nearest the pin on the 5th hole was won by Darryn Purdue for the men and Rosemarie Bartlett for the ladies. Longest drive on the 14th hole was won by David Thomas for the men and Rosemarie Bartlett for the ladies. Well done to all the winners.
There is always a fun addition to the day of the wheelbarrow of wine. Thank you to everyone that donated a bottle to the wheelbarrow. This was won by Ian Peacock.
In total we managed to raise £2041 for the charities which is fantastic. We couldn’t have achieved this without your generosity and support so thank you so much for this and also thank you for the prize you donated.
